Yeah, God created it, but why??
What is the number one thing that comes to your mind when you hear the word "MUD"?
Personally I think of how messy it is.

Today I am asking that you ponder on this subject for one week.
Then revisit the blog later this week to read about MUD and what the Bible has to say about mud.
You may be surprised!

Veteran's Day 2016

I was blessed growing up to have many people in my life who had great advice about life. A few of which were seasoned veterans. It has been said that the best advice comes from experience. These men definitely had experiences.

My grandfather was a Korean War Veteran. Although he never would talk about the subject of war or his experiences overseas, I came to find out why on my own while researching family history for genealogy purposes. My grandfather was a purple heart recipient and I found out a few years before he passed away just how that he got that purple heart. I will keep that story to myself but I will say that I am truly glad that my grandfather had God with him during the war and after.

My great uncle was in the army in during WWII. He was the recipient of not one but two! Purple hearts and a bronze star medal for his service in Germany. I recall a story of how he was surrounded by German's and their tanks while he was hiding out in a chicken coup! He somehow crawled through this nasty chicken coup (he had choice words about this chicken coup) and took out the tanks he and his men were surrounded by. How much courage that must have taken! I can imagine how scary that could have been for him. At some point in the war he became a guard for General Eisenhower.  I loved hearing the stories from this great uncle of mine.

I had another great uncle, who served in the navy during the attack at Pearl Harbor. Later he served at Iwo Jima. He had many medals and certificates for his service to our country. Unfortunately, I never heard any stories from him but he did visit Pearl Harbor for the anniversary memorials. I can imagine what kind of feelings that must have brought to him during those visits.

We need to remember the men and women God has blessed our great country with on this Veteran's Day. They keep us safe and allow us to continue to have our freedoms in this great country (USA).

Where did the church go?

Will you be one of those asking this question when the rapture takes place? I pray not! God has promised to deliver believers from the wrath to come and from the hour of testing that is coming (1 Thessalonians 1:10 and Revelation 3:10). What else does the bible say about the rapture? Lets take a quick glimpse..

First of all there are at least ten things that need to happen before the rapture takes place according to the Word of God. I wont go into detail of these ten things but I will list what they are...

1)   Revelation 6 - The first six seals must be broken.
2)   2 Thessalonians 2:4 - The third temple must be rebuilt.
3)   Revelation 13:1-10 - The kingdom of the beast must be established.
4)   Daniel 9:27 - The anti-Christ must make a seven year covenant.
5)   Daniel 12:6-7 - The power of the saints must be shattered.
6)   2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 - The apostasy must come first.
7)   2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 - The anti-Christ must be revealed.
8)   Matthew 24:14 - The Gospel will need to be preached to the whole world.
9)   Ephesians 5:25-27 -The church must be without a spot. sinless, holy and blameless.
10) John 14:12 - Believers must do greater works than Jesus did.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 King James Version says this...
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

John 5:25 King James Version says this...
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live."

Revelation 3:3 says this...
"Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee."

Yes you may have some time, but you may not have much! No one knows the day or the hour. The Word of God clearly tells us all about the destruction of the world after the rapture. You do not want to be one of those who are left behind.

How do you obtain salvation?  The Bible says this...
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one" (Romans 3:10 KJV).
There has only ever been one perfect person in this world and that is Jesus.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23 KJV).
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV).
In the book of Romans, 10:9-10 KJV it says this, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
We need to call out to the Lord in prayer and ask forgiveness of our sins. Then we need to profess Jesus the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and ask Jesus to come into our lives and save us.
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 16:31 KJV).
Our prayer cant be just spoken words. It need to be a message. We need the Lord to know that we truly believe in Him. I also believe we need to live life as prescribed by the Word of God, and The Ten Commandments.

What are The Ten Commandments you ask?  (According to the King James Version)
  1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
  2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
  3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
  4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
  5. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
  6. Thou shalt not kill.
  7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
  8. Thou shalt not steal.
  9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
  10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
